Delamore Art - Every Day in May - 1030 - 1630
The Artist - Kieron Williamson
Those who have followed Kieron’s progress since he emerged as a child prodigy and media sensation almost twenty years ago have been witness to his growing maturity both as a superbly skilled painter and in his choice of subject, combining contemporary technique with a deep regard for the past. The quality of Kieron’s paintings and his wide-ranging subjects have their roots in the artists of the Newlyn and St Ives Schools and those of his native county, the Norwich School. His love of the natural world and his technical prowess in painting animals and people have echoes in the works of many of the past ‘greats’, being a particular admirer of the work of Seago and Munnings The two paintings in this year’s Delamore exhibition result from a visit to Dartmoor in 2025.
